Chris Rock, born February 7, 1965, is an American comedian. Chris started out as a stand-up comic, skyrocketing to fame on the sketch comedy series ‘Saturday Night Live,’ where he became good friends with Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider and David Spade. Soon after his first comedy album came out, he left ‘SNL’ to pursue his own path.
Chris had a number of successful comedy albums, and was a big hit while on tour. But his comedy work quickly transitioned the star into movies. He appeared in a number of comedy movies while also lending his iconic voice to work on animated projects like ‘Osmosis Jones’ and ‘Madagascar.’ He also appeared on the show ‘Everybody Hates Chris,’ which aired from 2005-2009.
In 2014, he showed off his dramatic chops by appearing in the FX series ‘Fargo.’ He also flexed those same dramatic muscles in the ‘Saw’ spinoff ‘Spiral.’ Chris is the recipient of four Emmy Awards.
